This is our flagship build, and it comes in three shapes, depending on how much of the road you want us to walk with you. Want just the map, and you’ll write it? That’s the Blueprint. Written it already, and you need it made into a real book? That’s the Press. Want the whole thing, idea to finished spine? That’s the Full Story. Everything under one roof, so nothing gets handed to a stranger and lost halfway.

Tier 1 · The Blueprint

The research done and the structure built, so the only thing left is for you to write it.

You have a book in you, and you want to write it yourself. That’s fab, and we’re not going to talk you out of it. What stops most people isn’t the writing, it’s sitting down to a blank page with no map, no research, and no idea what to do next. The Blueprint is the map. We do the research and build the structure, so when you sit down to write, you’re building on something solid instead of guessing your way through.

THE PROCESS

Step 1 – Onboarding Questionnaire

Once you’ve signed and sorted your deposit, you’ll book your kick-off call, and we’ll send over your onboarding questionnaire.
Fill it in at least 48 hours before the call, so we come to it already knowing you, your subject, and where you’re stuck.

Step 2 – Kick-Off Call (60 minutes, Zoom)

You and Shelly. We talk through the whole idea, every angle of it, and agree what the book’s really about and what the outline needs to do before you start writing.

We settle the direction together on the call. Nothing moves forward until you’re happy with it.

Step 3 – Into the Studio

Right after the call, you’ll get your invite to our Studio on Slack. We set up your private channels and drop in your Welcome Pack, so everything you need is in one place. From here on, that’s where we talk between milestones.

Step 4 – Research & Source Gathering

We gather and check the sources your book will be built on: the facts, the references, and the material you’ll need to write. You write from solid ground instead of second-guessing every line.

Step 5 – Outline Draft & Review

We build your detailed, chapter-by-chapter outline and send over the draft. You mark it up, we talk it through in the Studio, and we revise. One full round of changes is built in.

Step 6 – Your Blueprint, Approved & Delivered

The finished outline, the structure from first page to last, and the research to write from comes to you in one pack. We walk you through it on a handover call, so nothing’s a mystery.

Tier 2 · The Press

You’ve done the writing. We’ll do everything that turns a manuscript into a book.

You’ve done the hard part. There’s a finished manuscript, and it deserves to be a real book, the kind held in your hands with your name on the spine, not a PDF that never quite makes it out. The Press is the whole back end of publishing: editing, design, the files, all of it under one roof, so nothing gets handed to a stranger and lost halfway.

THE PROCESS

Step 3 – Into the Studio

Right after the call, you’ll get your invite to our Studio on Slack, your private channels, and your Welcome Pack, all in one place. From here on, that’s where we talk through every stage.

Step 4 – Edit

Copyedit and proofread, plus the developmental edit first if you’ve added it. We send the copyedited draft for your read, then a final draft to sign off.

You read and sign off the edited manuscript before it goes anywhere near design.

Step 5 – Design, Layout & Cover

Interior layout built properly, and a dedicated cover design call so the cover’s yours, not a template off a shelf. You see the layout and the cover concepts and approve each before we go to final files.

Step 6 – Delivery & Handover

Once the final invoice is settled, your finished book is ready: print-ready files, the eBook, the final cover, and a handover packet that walks you through getting it out into the world under your own name.

Tier 3 · The Full Story

From an idea in your head to a finished book with your name on the spine. We do the lot.

You have a book in you, and right now it’s mostly an idea. That’s a fine place to start, it’s where most books start. The Full Story is the whole thing, ground up: we research it, we shape it, we write it with you or for you, and we hand you back a finished book at the end. The writing is the part that matters most, and it’s the part people get wrong, handing your story to a machine or a stranger who’s never met you. We don’t. Every word is written by a person, in your voice, so what comes back sounds like you told it.

Step 4 – Research & Outline

We gather and check the sources, then build the detailed, chapter-by-chapter outline the writing will follow. We send the draft for your feedback, then the finished outline for your approval.

Step 5 – Writing

We write the book, with you or for you, chapter by chapter, with drafting calls along the way. You see the pages as they come and shape them as we go, so it always sounds like you. You revise, we sharpen, at the pace we agreed.

Step 6 – Delivery & Handover

Developmental edit, copyedit and proofread, interior layout, an original cover from a dedicated design call, and the print and eBook files. Your finished book is waiting with a handover packet, ready to publish under your own name.

Do I own my book?

Completely, on every tier. Your name on the spine, every right yours to keep, and you publish it however you like. We never put our name on it. The one time publishing sits with us is Hybrid, which is a separate service and always your call.
